Integrated Reception Systems (IRS)

Integrated Reception Systems (IRS)Integrated Reception Systems (IRS) uses special settings to deliver the high quality signal that it is best known for. The main reason for the high quality signal it outputs is the direct connection between each receiver. The IRS aerial receives multiple channels of signal, which it then distributes to multiple receivers.

This is achieved by using a signal booster-distributor or a single aerial cluster. Obvious reasons for using this type of technology would be for communal systems like housing blocks, where one aerial can replace a lot of aerials, e.g. apartments or flats.

For larger sites, a cabled backbone is used to extend the star-wire configuration. Due to the satellite transmissions using very high broadcast frequencies, they cables tend to ‘leak’. The IRS systems require a higher quality cable to prevent this. The cable is a little more expensive, but will save you money in the long run, preventing leaks.

Star-wired systems have fewer connections between each outlet and the system electronics than other set-ups, and are typically more reliable and easier to maintain than systems built to older designs. We provide a range of commercial services, including MATV, SMAS and IPTV.

Along with the commercial side of our business, we also provide domestic aerial services. These include digital freeview installations, Sky TV and we can also prepare you for the digital switchover. We specialise in fitting all types of aerial, including foreign satellites.
